It can be used with YORK and DIN regulators, and can be made DIN compatible by removing the hex adapter.
In order to fill gas in Japan, the cylinders and valves must also be stamped with the KHK mark. The KHK mark is only stamped on cylinders and valves that meet the standards set by the High Pressure Gas Safety Institute.

The KHK-ISO Certification Center is a fair and reliable certification and registration organization that utilizes the wide range of knowledge and technical capabilities accumulated through various high pressure gas safety projects of its parent organization, the High Pressure Gas Safety Institute (KHK), as well as the experience of inspection and certification work related to high pressure gas. It performs certification (inspection and registration) of management systems related to quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and food safety.
