For converting Apeks XTX series Yoke (aka "A-Clamp") first stages to a standard 300 bar DIN fitting. The two-piece design DIN threaded hand wheel and stem also includes an O-ring and sintered filter cone, plus an Apeks branded DIN dust cap. The polished chrome finish of the all-metal hand wheel matches current DS4, DST, FSR, TEK3 and MTX first stage bodies, but does not visually match the now discontinued FSR (Tungsten) and FST (XTX100) first stages. The DIN fitting on Apeks regulators uses a different size 111 O-ring (smaller) on the tip of the fitting to seal with the valve outlet. If you want to temporarily revert to a Yoke, use the DIN to Yoke spin-on adapter.
The yoke fitting is removed using a 3/4" box end (aka ring spanner) wrench. The DIN conversion kit is assembled without lubrication using a 6mm hex key (aka allen wrench) and torqued to {18.4 ft-lbs | 25 Nm} per the 2023 Apeks Global Spare Parts Guide. We recommend yoke to DIN conversions be performed by a technician trained in servicing Apeks products.
