Aqualung Legend Second Stage

The familiar Venturi switch has been redesigned with a more ergonomic feel for easier use.

The lightweight 227g second stage features new front cover opening channels that allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm. Radial openings prevent free flow in high current areas. Wider openings reduce peak intake flow by 20%.

Soft-touch elastomer overmolded exhaust cover increases air purge surface area for easier regulator purging. Purge depth controller optimizes airflow with minimal effort.

The patented Comforbite mouthpiece reduces jaw fatigue and holds the second stage in place for more comfort, while the removable, reusable mouthpiece clamp eliminates plastic waste and allows for quick and easy mouthpiece changes without tools.

A larger heat exchanger helps prevent the second stage mechanism from freezing.

Air channel deflectors even out airflow during the inhalation phase, while streamlined bi-material deflectors reduce the force of exhalation.

Aqualung Legend First Stage

When the first stage is not connected to the cylinder valve, the Auto-Closure Device (ACD) keeps the intake closed to protect the internal parts of the first stage from contamination and corrosive water, which keeps the internals lubricated and keeps the inlet filter clean and dry, safe for high oxygen percentages.

No water, no ice! We've modernized the Aqualung's three freeze protection features to deliver outstanding cold water performance. The Leg 3rd Dry Chamber isolates the internal components from the outside environment, keeping them clean and dry. Deep ribs create a large heat exchange surface area to prevent ice build-up on the mechanism (30% more than Gracia/70% more than Legend 2). New overmolded cap delays ice build-up on the external diaphragm.

Auto-balancing (aka over-balancing) diaphragm provides superior performance by incrementally increasing operating pressure to maintain optimal breathing effort. Depending on the diver's depth, the first stage operating pressure is automatically increased to counteract the increase in breathing air density.

The ergonomically shaped DIN and YOKE threads feature a "soft grip" surface material that makes them easy to hold, especially when your hands are cold, when installing or removing the first stage. The YOKE screw has a groove to prevent water from entering. The regulator body is equipped with an ACD dust cap to protect the inlet fitting and ACD system from impact and damage.

The HP ports (2 ports) and MP ports (4 ports) are perfectly positioned to provide optimal hose routing.
